We are a varied group of all ages and interests with one thing in common - we love writing! We partake in all kinds of writing - from flash fiction to short stories to poetry to novels.
Some of our members are published authors, some have won writing competitions and some just write for fun, but all have valuable advice and experience to share with others when we read out our stories to the Circle.
In the past we have compiled many anthologies of our work and a few years ago, some of the members had a collection of short stories published for use in residential homes with talking points at the end of the stories. This proved a great success and the members involved shared the royalties.
We occasionally invite guest speakers to judge competitions and give talks and workshops. Past speakers include Katherine King, Aoife Mannix and Donna Vann.
The Circle was founded over 40 years ago and has welcomed and encouraged many budding writers during this time.
